In the morning, I took a bus to the City. Then I took a train from Town Hall to Circular Quay:
There, I took a ferry to
Manly:
In about half an hour, I arrived to
the Manly ferry wharf:
Then I moved on:
This is
The Corso:
And this is
Manly War Memorial:
This is Manly Town Hall:
This is where I came from:
This is the Corso opposite side:
From here and to the Pacific, The Corso is for pedestrians only:
Note
OPEN 7 DAYS и
BOTTLE SHOP plates on my picture. This is where Kathy and Josh were walking:
Shops are constantly changing so now this place is not recognizable. I recognized it only from the house number (21).
Here we see
St Matthew’s Anglican Church:
At the end of this building, there used to be Corso Jewellery in
Spellbinder:
The opposite side of this street:
The column with the thin yellow line appeared in
Spellbinder:
This is where Ashka was walking:
And that tree:
Those buildings:
Compare these two pictures, they show the same buildings:
In my understanding, the following pictures show the same buildings too but it is difficult to see:
This is where Corso Jewellery used to be:
The newsagency next to that place:
And here you see the hotel where Ashka was staying in season 2:
Some pictures from the same point as above:
And the hotel:
It was rebuilt but it is still recognizable.
I think it is the bar inside:
The brown building is just next to the hotel along the Corso:
The hotel:
This is where I came from:
And the installation in front of the hotel:
Again:
This is where I came from:
Our heroes were walking here:
More pictures:
Note the stairs inside:
Probably Kathy and Josh were walking there.
This hotel building hosts
The New Brighton Hotel nowadays. But you cannot book a room there because it is just some bars and clubs inside, including Shark Bar shown in
Spellbinder.
Some pictures from season 1:
Today, everything is different there.
Then I went to the street that is perpendicular to The Corso and joins it just at the hotel:
The hotel:
Here, Ashka was driving:
The hotel facade was changed:
This is how it used to be:
This door was probably shown in
Spellbinder:
View from the opposite side:
I moved on:
I think ATTIK is where Green's EATERY in
Spellbinder used to be:
The hotel:
Apparently Ashka visited one of these shops:
More pictures:
Again, that door:
And Ashka went there:
Then I came back to the brown building.
It was shown in both seasons:
Again:
Then I walked to
Manly Beach. This is the Corso from that beach:
And the beach:
Then I came back to The Corso.
The hotel:
Then I went to that perpendicular street again:
Ashka probably went there:
Here we see one more street:
I moved on.
Look at that shot from season 2:
And that is from season 1:
I moved on.
Bambino is exactly where Tandy Electronics in
Spellbinder used to be:
Look at that:
More shots from season 1:
Tandy Electronics used to be here:
This is where Ashka crossed the road:
The shops:
The opposite side:
This is how it used to be:
Ray White office used to be approximately here:
Today,
First National Real Estate Manly Prestige office is here.
Manly Congregational Church:
This church was shown in
Spellbinder:
Katrina was here:
And the real estate agency:
Note
Divine Nails in my picture above. There used to be Florist in
Spellbinder on its place:
Thought the real estate agency is different today, it looks very much the same:
Towards The Corso:
Then I went to Bain’s shop:
Today there is
Desire Books shop there:
The door and the tile are still the same:
Just next to it, an accident with a police officer took place:
The closed gates are right where the officer fell down:
The building between the gates and the shop also appeared in
Spellbinder but it has changed much:
This is just next to the shop:
House No. 3 was in
Spellbinder:
This is that street:
Then I walked to the place where Josh was hiding from a police officer chasing him:
The showcase:
On the other side of the road, we see a park:
You should note the swing in this park in my picture, just like in
Spellbinder:
And this is where Josh was hiding:
Then I went back to Bain’s shop and took some pictures from its door in different directions.
To the right:
These brick houses appeared in
Spellbinder:
This parking place is just opposite the shop:
It was in
Spellbinder:
And a view to the left:
This street corner was in
Spellbinder:
Now let’s look at the shop again. Just next to it, there is a very similar place:
The book shop used to be in there:
And this is where Bain’s shop used to be:
Then I walked to that place:
In my opinion, the camera man climbed up that red thing in order to shoot that:
This is around that place:
Then I began walking away from this area.
The hotel:
The Corso:
As you remember, Riana and Katrina visited Sportsgirl shop. One of these shops is on the Corso:
But Riana and Katrina apparently visited this shop somewhere else.
Finally, I left The Corso.
Then I walked to the
bus stop. While waiting for my bus, I took some pictures:
Then I took a bus to
Woodland St after Ernest St stop. From there, I went to the house of Vicky Morgan. When I was walking, I took the pictures:
And here you see that house:
Here it is!
Something has changed but the house is still recognizable.
This tree probably appeared in
Spellbinder:
More pictures:
I moved on:
Then I went to the house of Kathy. The area was very nice:
And this is the beginning of the street where Kathy lived!
I am walking along that street:
This is just opposite her house:
Apparently here our heroes were walking:
And this is the house of Kathy!
The owner put the fence. However the gates were open so I could see a little bit more.
Somewhere behind that greenery, Josh had a football lesson:
Kathy was hiding somewhere here when she was looking at the doubles:
The house of Tony is right across the road:
The pool must be just above that wall:
And this is where he was washing his car:
More pictures:
This view is quite recognizable:
From that place, I went to
Dobroyd Head. The views were fantastic!
From here, you see Manly:
The Pacific:
This is where Tony was driving from in the last episode:
The other side of the road:
The harbour:
Kathy was walking here:
This fence consists of two sections. Each of them has the following ending part:
One might think that Kathy’s friends were standing here. But this is not true. They were standing at the other section:
Look at that:
Tony was driving there:
Look at these barriers:
This is just opposite the place where Kathy and her friends were talking:
I went up there:
This is where I came from:
South Head:
Look at that:
Kathy was here:
This is the last frame from the last episode:
And more pictures:
Then I went back to the bus stop:
I walked near the house of Vicky again:
I moved on:
Then I took a bus from
New St at Bungaloe Ave stop to the Manly wharf where I took a ferry to Circular Quay:
Then I took a train to
Rosehill station. I was going to take a look at the location where
the Clyde Refinery used to be. This refinery appeared in the first episode of season 1 when Paul and others were going to the camp by bus. Unfortunately this refinery was demolished so I just wanted to look at what remained.
The old train I took:
I changed trains at
Clyde station:
I looked at the train window to see if there was any possibility to walk to the refinery location. Unfortunately, it was an industrial zone all around. There were practically no sidewalks along the roads. The roads themselves, although they were quite narrow and free of cars, also did not look attractive for walking. Consequently, I decided not to walk to the refinery location.
I took some pictures of the Rosehill station:
Then I took a train to Beecroft.
At
Strathfield, I had to change trains. That time I managed to take a picture just like in
Spellbinder:
The Regional train nearby:
Then I returned to Beecroft.
