The "main" period of The Tomorrow Trilogy crowdfunding campaign is over. The goal (£15,000) hasn't been reached yet. However, thanks to active online promotion, donations have increased dramatically in recent days. As a result, at the very last minute, the fundraised sum reached £5,000, a third of the required amount. In accordance with the crowdfunding platform's rules, the campaign was extended for 10 days, and it will now end on October 5th.

Hello and thank you to everyone who posted in this thread, it was a very interesting and enjoyable read! I'm glad there is a dedicated place on the Internet to discuss the series.

I first heard about TGFT back in (I think) 2012 and watched it on the Internet during summer holidays, so it looks like I joined the party much later than the majority on this forum. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this show very much and, although not revisiting it for a long time, its plot and visuals stayed in my memory.
One thing that especially stood out to me in TGFT was the aesthetic of the year 3000: unlike many other sci-fi movies and series, TGFT chose to depict a minimalist and reserved society surrounded by nature, contrasted with urbanistic Sydney of the 1990s and the Kellys' cluttered apartment. Needless to say, I do envy the organising skills of the people of the future

This year, more than a decade after, I remembered about TGFT and decided to give it another go. In a sense, it was like watching a remake: by the time, I had already forgotten quite a few scenes and plot points from both seasons, so it was fun to rediscover them at an older age. It especially applies to comedy scenes and dialogues from adult characters, although watching TGFT in English instead of the dubbed version this time may have played an even bigger role here.

That said, after being able to take a fresh look at the show's plot and worldbuilding, I now have some thoughts about Globecorp's ongoing influence on society Alana is being raised in. Although the company suffered a major defeat by the end of season 2, by the year 2500, its "corporate culture" appeared to be too tightly woven into the fabric of everyday life to simply vanish without leaving any traces. On the contrary, I believe it can still be noticed even as far in time as the year 3000, although in a modified (hehe) form. I would gladly expand on these thoughts in the next couple of days when I have some time to sit and write a coherent text. Looking forward!
