Yes, a very significant amount has been raised. However, most of the funds were raised on the first day of the campaign. Since then, progress has been much slower. I believe the current amount was reached thanks to those who donated to the first campaign. It's crucial to spread the word about the new campaign wider to reach more fans. Otherwise, there's a risk that the amount raised will only increase slightly and the target amount won't be reached.

Based. Getting the second half of the required sum committed will be the most difficult part. In any case, I'm spreading the word.

Does anyone know who is the admin of the Girl From Tomorrow page on Facebook? Thought they might be a member here 🤔
Great news! I sent a message to this page and asked to announce the crowdfunding campaign. And they did it!

Thanks so much Fanat! That’s a real breakthrough. I’ve sent dozens of messages, posted mentions and tried to research who the admin was but nothing has worked. You must have the magic touch.

To give everyone a bit of hope, it’s worth also saying that the people who have backed the Kickstarter aren’t all the same people who backed the Indiegogo. Nearly half are new backers. So if the original backers return, we will be very close indeed…

Also, this tracker has been almost bang on with my other books and it says we will exceed target: https://www.backerkit.com/projects/idio ... m-tomorrow

Let’s keep fingers crossed. And thanks for everyone’s support.

By the way, if anyone has any questions about the new project, I’m very happy to answer them.

Thanks.

PS, if anyone has any contacts within the Spellbinder Facebook communities, please share. I’ve never heard back from Page admins there either. And if GFT succeeds, we wouldn’t be closed to the idea of exploring Spellbinder projects…

Hi all - does anyone have a Popjustice Forum account?

https://forum.popjustice.com/

New memberships are currently on hold, but I'm sure there are people there who would be interested in a new The Girl From Tomorrow book.

Peter is in charge of the site, and IdiotBoxBooks might do well to contact him: peter.w.robinson@popjustice.com

Interestingly the Kylie Minogue (another Aussie icon) forum is extremely popular & in series two, Eddie was shown reading a magazine with Kylie on the cover!

Yes, I'm very happy that we've managed to reach this community!

Great! Is it possible to send emails to those who backed the Indiegogo but not (yet) the Kickstarter?

Yes, it certainly gives a bit of hope but I won't be as anxious as I'm now if the growth rate is slightly higher. :)

I've just wrote to the major Spellbinder groups and pages:
Let's see if they publish it...

IdiotBoxBooks, could you please contact Peter from Popjustice Forum, as it is suggested by Zoe Isn't A Dog?

Thanks Fanat. It would be great to see it as a topic in the TV and Film section.

https://forum.popjustice.com/forums/tv-film.15/

Also, it could definitely be mentioned to the Kylie fans with a screenshot of Eddie reading the magazine with her on the cover.

If joining the forum is not possible, even just informing Peter would help spread the word as he clearly has many connections in the world of pop culture.

This Facebook group for fans of telefantasy from the 20th century, has over 14 thousand members, & the Administrator has specifically praised Australian kid's shows, even including a photo of Spellbinder.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1074351 ... 640498814/

He might help promote the Kickstarter?
